Interior........namely spraying all the interior panels with base coat paint ($93 for the quart w/reducer & hardener). They are ready, just needed a whole day to get the garage empty, set up the panels, spray the sides, then give them 2-3 coats with plenty of flash time in between. I also need to install the new wheel opening moldings. Can someone give me a local source for those short/small/tapered screws? They do not need to be fancy, just the right size.

Can't speak for Tallahassee but we have an independent hardware store in town here that has a wall full of drawers containing all kinds of specialty fasteners.  I even found my rim screws there!  If you have one of those mom and pop stores they probably either have them or can get em for you.

Must be the season to spray interior panels.  I got my kick panels painted this week, but the doors and rear quarters are this weekend's project.

Other than that, continuing to tune on the new motor and trace electrical issues.  Wish me luck!

I'm going up to Redding to pick up my Challenger and finally bring it down to the Bay Area.    

I do need to respray my interior panels but I don't have time this weekend to do that, maybe next month, but who knows.

  My after-market wheel well moldings had the screws supplied with them. They aren't anything special. I'm sure you can find them at Lowe's or Home Depot. If nobody chimes in here, I'll take one out tomorrow and post a pic with measurements.

P.S.- I'll be filling my gas tank up since 93 octane got below $3.50 a gallon.

Mmmmmm 93 octane. Too bad I'm in CA, best we can do is 91...

Last weekend I installed my weatherstripping kit, hooked up my heater, and managed to get my transmission lines to stop leaking (at least well enough to last until I drop in the 4 speed). So far the heater core seems to be holding. I also bought a flat hood for $80! It has a pro-stock type scoop on it, but its perfect for a B-body six pack scoop conversion. I need to take some better pics of it. I suppose what I should do is start my own resto thread, since I'll be getting underway with a bunch of stuff soon.

Hopefully this weekend I can get my windshield wipers to work, and with any luck I should be able to drop my new pistons off at the machinist's early next week...

Got my trans in at about midnight last night, woke up at 630 and topped the atf off. Drove it about 60miles today from home to work, work to school, school to home. All runs great.

Only thing is going from a 3,500rpm stall converter to a stocker...its nowhere near as wild as it was. But atleast its back on the road, leak free!

Goody, what timezone are you in now? I can never keep up between Florida and Arizone. Its 7:19am here in Baltimore, you're pretty quick being able to go 60miles from 6:30am and get back here to the computer.....

My weekend started just after 7 this morning,it was time to deliver the Challenger to it's winter home. After weeks of tear down my bodyman called and asked for the car.He only does one car each winter and the car that was lined up cancelled so he took mine on instead.
Now I've got a great big garage with no cars in it just lots of parts to restore-refurbish.

Just got done changing the oil and anti-freeze.....then I washed and waxed her up and she's ready to go to a car show tomorrow!   

Talk about wierd, I was getting a clunking sound when my car was at idol....sounded like someone left a wrench in the bottom half of my motor.  I couldn't figure it out so when I was changing the oil, I decided to check the bolts on that hold the flex plate onto the torque converter and sure enough, they were hand loose, ALL OF THEM!  I tightened those bad-larry's up and no more knocking......talk about a close call....I don't want to know what would have happened if those bolts came all the way out while I was driving it.....
