Well I got my engine parts in and dropped them off at my machinist's. Engine should go out to get balanced on Monday, and with any luck my shortblock will be ready by the end of the week!

Now I just have to order my heads and the rest of the goodies to finish out my 4 speed conversion so its all ready for when the new engine goes in. Other than spending money, I hooked up my e-brake finally. I had been missing my intermediate cable and hardware, so I took care of that and it seems to work well so far. I also tested my wiper motor and ordered a new one, seems that was the problem with my wipers. Hopefully I'll get my floorpan soon as well, so I can have windshield wipers and a solid floor before it starts raining.

Heard one of the local Dodge dealerships has 3 Challengers in stock (1 2008 SRT and 2 2009 R/T) so I may take the Challenger down there, and then tomorrow night is the monthly Mopar Alley club meeting so I will be taking the Challenger there. It's elections this month and I have been told that I will be elected the new president of Mopar Alley.

Just got done changing the oil and anti-freeze.....then I washed and waxed her up and she's ready to go to a car show tomorrow!   :woohoo:

Talk about wierd, I was getting a clunking sound when my car was at idol....sounded like someone left a wrench in the bottom half of my motor.  I couldn't figure it out so when I was changing the oil, I decided to check the bolts on that hold the flex plate onto the torque converter and sure enough, they were hand loose, ALL OF THEM!  I tightened those bad-larry's up and no more knocking......talk about a close call....I don't want to know what would have happened if those bolts came all the way out while I was driving it..... :22yikes:

I had the same thing happen on my old `87 Fury cop car after changing out a bad trans-sounded like the main bearings were going on the engine.Turned out the converter bolts had loosened so since then I always use Loctite and no problems.

In a few minutes I'll be heading out to Mopars at Atco Raceway.  Show, swap and racing.  I'll post pix tonight.

We're taking the cuda out of the garage today to see what we've got to work with. It's been garaged most of its life, but has had body damage early on and just sits quietly waiting it's turn for $$,$$$.

Tom,

I hate to say this to you, but your car seems to burn a bit of oil.   :eek7:

Yeah I think I used a quart under the tires, NOT, no line lock needed here. :smokin:

Tom :burnout:

I had smoke pouring through the rear speaker deck for a few miles down the highway.  I was beginning to wonder if there was a fire.LOL
