finished wheel alignment today, took it for a bit of a blast around town and out on the interstate, had to test the trutrac to make sure it was working (it is :bananasmi :burnout:), checked the transgo kit, it chirps into second so I take it as a "yes I'm working fine thank you". new brakes pull straight. low speed up to aroudn 40 there is a driveline vibration that goes out at 60. I have a urathane trans mount which im sure makes the vibrations worse than they are. There are rattles from front to back that I have to wrok on but all up pretty happy with the fast ratio steering and handling etc.
I do have a question on the diff centre, how hot should they get giving it a little workout around town, I can put my hand on it but not for long, do they normally get pretty warm?

A/F ratio gauge is working fine, I just have to now work out what it all means etc.

well.... the car show ended in total disaster.  for real....

My 14 yr old witnessed a monstertruck driving straight into the public.  So far 2 dead, about 20 injured and 6 heavily injured.
I was right around the corner standing next to my cuda watching a big screen. I saw the truck loose balance and then the screen went black.  After a few seconds my son called me in panic asking where I was, and told me what happened.  I`m so glad he`s ok, apart from the shock that is.  It`s not like the truck hit a few , it just ran right into the audience.....  :angelwings: :angelwings:

Wow not good!   Fun to watch them run over cars and such but not the crowd!   Doesn't appear there were any barriers or anything to protect the bystanders??

yea... amazing isn`t it....
It`s supposed to be a proffesional stunt team.  They tell the organization how much space they need and such.... the driver has been arrested and the police are going through the truck now.  Looks like he never hit the brakes  :clueless:
Thing is,  I have Always felt some feel of fear for machines like this ,or jet engine powered toys.  The fences may give people with no feel or knowledge of tech and powerstuff, a sense of safety, but when **** hits the fan, you`re Always too close.... I`m happy I taught my son my fear...

I spent most of the weekend cleaning contacts, checking fuses, replacing bulbs and a door switch, but I'm happy with the results. She now has lights, that function, everywhere she's supposed to. Kind of odd, I replaced the dome light bulb (it was missing) and the shifter light started working too. Next weekend? Weatherstripping.
