Don't take this the wrong way, but, why? It is a 318 car right? What does having a 'correct' hemi k-member matter?

Because the Schumacher mounts won't allow me to use a shaker bubble.
The engine sits way too high and is tilted at an angle.

They might work on a 440 but Hemi's are unique in their mounting and the Schumachers Suck!!

With temp's below zero at the moment and an unheated garage the only thing I'm doing on the car is visualizing what to do in what order when the weather breaks.

I bought the car in October and about 2 weeks later put a brand new set of 15 x 7 rally's ,centers, lug nuts, and beauty rings on it with new B.F. Goodrich Radial T/A's. So the wheels and tires are covered. Then it was 4 new shocks I use Monroe load levelers with a coil over shock set up in the rear and new Monroe front shocks. Had to go over the rear brakes and install the self adjusting hardware kits as they were completely missing when I pulled the drums??? Never seen that one before??? Makes you wonder if it was the guy's first brake job??? Hmmm I have these parts left over and don't know where they go!!!

The car has a points type ignition so I bought an Electronic conversion kit and a new engine harness from Evan's wiring Erie, Pa If you guys have never used Bill's harnesses I highly recommend them.

A 71 Cuda just doesn't look "right" without a set of road lamps so I bought a set of them from Bill Evans too including the brackets.

I plan on pulling the engine and detailing it. While the engine is out I am going to paint the engine compartment and detail the k-frame etc. I  bought a complete Moog front suspension kit and a fast ratio pitman arm , idler arm set up from Summit Racing so I'll have the car's suspension tight.

I am really trying to hold back and NOT make this a 2-3 year project. I didn't buy the car to go crazy with I just want a little better than a driver quality car. I am obsessed with detail on my cars and as I get older I get worse!!! It takes some of the fun out of it when you've made the car too nice. I don't want to be afraid to drive it.

Purchased squirters for the AAR hood resurrection.

Research showed the squirter was the same used by '60s Buicks...

These were $45 on ebay off a '61 Buick La Saber.

They fit perfectly.

I start pulling front end suspension off the car this week-end.
Plan is to swap in a Hemi K member with the engine suspended in place by a cherry picker and stands.
The correct K member shows up next week.

I just ordered a 71 rear bumper and brackets to help clean up the rear end of my 74 Cuda.  Bumper guards are already here.

Started a BIG weekend project.

I pulled the dash out tonight (Friday) to replace the dash pad and upgrade to Ralley gauges, check all wiring and clean 40+ years of dust and grime from the dash frame.

Good luck!  Hope you don't end up with "extra" parts when you're done.  :)   :working:

I'm off to an Angeles Crest Highway cruise with a Mopar Club  :burnout:

Rare beautiful day here in Washington 65 degrees and sun. After some yard work I cleaned up the Cuda and did a quick store run (going to grill up some burgers for dinner while the weather is nice  :ylsuper: ) Pulled into Safeway parked and challenger pulls in and parks next to me. What are the odds of that?
