I pulled out the front valance panel, it has a nice black paint front, but the inner side had rusted, it collects water all the time. So i pulled it out and primed it, so as to paint it.

I also found the time to repaint the front grille emblems and paint the eggcrate using SEM trim black. It needs a lot of preparation though. I cleaned it thoroughly, then applied the paint directly. The Challenger script emblem was also done with SEM trim black, while the R/T emblem was done with Black DX8 and Flame Red PR4 Mopar touch paints. The Challenger emblem was then cleaned up with paper tape, soaked in paint thinner, on a flat table and rubbing the emblem on it in order to clean the letters but not the inner paint.

Aligned both doors, installed the passenger fender. Had to repair the drivers side fender; both are new Goodmark fenders and while the fit isn't terrible, there are a few issues. On the drivers side fender, the rear underneath stud hole which has a threaded component broke free when I was test fitting/threading a bolt in. I had to cut it all out and weld in a new plate with a new welded onto it.

I haven't tried the pass side yet, but I might have to do the same thing to it. I wanted AMD fenders, but they were not available when I bought these. Since I was going to modify them, I wasn't too concerned but it is a slight PIA.

That's a bummer.  Seems like all this new stuff is hit and miss quality wise. I'm curious as to what your plans are to modify the fenders.

Well, I sanded the whole bottom of the car and then gravelguarded what I could get at on the rotisserie. I've got to roll 'er over and do the parts I couldn't see/get at and then it looks like brake lines and gas lines time. It's been so long that my aging sieve of memory will require my asking for reference pics and advice by then.

This past week I installed my Patriot full length headers.   This week coming up I hope to put in all of the engine bay wiring, hoses, etc and Hopefully fire this engine up f !!or the first time for me.    The engine was "built" and broken in by the engines owner before I got it, and I've never heard it run.   I spoke with the engine shop and the builder estimates about 400 HP...    Cant wait to hear it run...   I hope

The boys rolled the old gal over on the rotisserie for me, so it was another 4 hrs of cutting out the improperly installed frt apron reinforcement on the drivers side and cut/fit the side gusset. Weld the whole shebang in and grind the welds prettier. Then I pretty much used up the 5th or 6th tube of seam sealer going over the bottom, to seal every seam where 2 pieces of metal come together. Tomorrow, it'll be epoxy prime the bare spots and then, hopefully get some of the gravelguard on her. Dig out the fuel/gas line set and tank and straps. "Slowly I turned, step, by step"

Have been resetting the hood electrical, they are a mess. I 'm also putting a switch for the electric fans under the heater controls together with a thermoswitch in the water neck, in case human nature takes its course...

I pulled the 452 heads off & I found the #1 exhaust valve burnt & all of the valve guides wiped out. Within the last year I have been noticing that when I start my Challenger when it was cold the RPM's would speed up once every rotation. Suspecting my 440 had a problem I did a cylinder leak down test and a compression test.  I found #1 cylinder had 80% leakage & 30 psi of compression! The rest of the cylinders we between 10 to 15% leakage. Going to bring the heads in for a valve job after I do a porting template job on them.
