Now that the motor is out of my Challenger, I'll remove the brake booster so a friend can come by and patch the firewall.  That booster is staying off in favor of a hydroboost that is going on later.

That, and a lot of thinking about which direction I want to go in with the new salvage yard 360.  Build it or drop it in as is.  Just depends on how much $$$ I want to spend.   :money:

A Volare? I had a '79 back in the day. Mine only had the old slant-6 with a 2-barrel carb. It was actually called a Duster.

How would you rate it over a standard Mopar electronic ignition?

Yep - It's a 1978 Plymouth Volare Street Kit Car, 1 of 247, 34K original miles, survivor, E58 360 Cop Motor, cop suspension, 727 Auto:

Was that side dual exhaust exiting on the passenger side factory?

After using the porting templates on my 452 heads and installing new seats and stainless steel valves I hope to take the car for a ride this afternoon! I was surprised that the valves were sunk into the heads. I thought 452's had hardened seats.

I went out on a limb and decided to rip the hack job wiring all out due to the risky ammeter and bulkhead connections. I'll be replacing the bulkhead plastic connectors and sticking with the Packard terminals except for the power wires, which will pass straight through. Re-designing the charging system also. Eventually I'll rebuild my gauges and do a voltmeter conversion on the rallye dash.

I'm trying to figure out a way to install switched and constant power modern fuse boxes under the dash to replace the original one.  Eventually I'll put a relay box in the engine bay for headlights and an electric fuel pump too.
Custom braided nylon looms will be used to make it all look nice.  My car will be a mostly stock-appearing, pro touring kind of project (with a patina look until I start body repairs). A drive it as I fix it kind of thing. Wiring is fun for me, but tedious!
