Got my new trans hump on Thursday, hoping to install it on Monday.  Should I drop the tranny?  I'm going to use epoxy bonding instead of welding (per the recommendation of my neighbor who's worked in metal for 20 years and now works with bonded composites), so there won't be any heat.

Mounted my new BFG drag radials and got an inspection sticker on Wednesday.Planned on hitting test and tune on Saturday but couldn`t make it so I`m going to sign up for the points program and race today.I don`t expect to get past the first round but I`ll at least get in some runs and have some fun.I`ll have an update on how I did later.

Driving mine....Just came back from putting 90 miles on it along the Niagara Parkway. It's a scenic route the follows the Niagara River and goes through some tourist towns like Niagara On The Lake, Niagara Falls and Chippawa. Next weekend...Clean on Saturday; Albion PA show on Sunday.

Saturday , NIKKI got a new front crank seal. Leaked from the day I got her, when I took it apart it almost looked as if the last one wasnt seated in the housing all the way. Now IM putting her back together and skrew up the gasket that goes on the bottom of the timming chain cover/topfront of oil pan.  :banghead: I'm already kinda po'd cause I'm doing this at home in a small 2 car garage.  :swear:  Anyway now i'm thinkin' oh $#!+!! And I'm sure not liking the idea of replacing the whole pan gasket.  :pullinghair: So anyway I tried some of that new (sort of) permatex wannabeagasket. Supposed to be usable 1 minute after installation.  :clueless: Took her out Saturday nite, yesterday and today... no leaks!! Maybe I got enough venting through the valve covers(?)(always wiping them down,  but it's holding!  :burnout:  :clapping:  After that did easy stuff, finally trimmed out the new trunk liner, installed new anti rattle clips for the top, finished running the hoses for the new windshield squirter kit.  :working: Time to relax  on C-C for awhile!

No work on the e-body this past weekend, spent time with the family and did manage to sneak off with the 69 cuda to a small local show for a couple of hours Saturday night. Not a person leaving that show even tapped there throttle,so I left atleast a hundred feet of rubber when I pulled out :burnout:

hopefully going to see Alan this weekend. Plan so far is to pick him up in Mobile and take him home, then hopefully pull the tranny in his car and put a clutch in and.....whatever else we have time for.  :woohoo:

I saw a Challenger Carcass on a trailer in an industrial lot in Phoenix, right at the Durango Curve. I will post pics soon, but it was originally plum crazy. No front clip, powertrain, or suspension. Repainted red, vinyl top ripped off, fenders off car. Didn't have the torque boxes, or big passenger's side spring. Of course the owner is going "to resurrect it"...Arrgh... :banghead:

Painless Wiring headlight relays....

New battery....

Cleaning up wiring under the hood....

Washing, waxing and then just sitting in a lawn chair and stare at the beauty that is classic Mopar.

(honestly I am careful so the wife and neighbors don't think I am loosing it but I can just look at a car if I think it's lines are attractive and enjoy for long periods of time...and a few beers don't hurt either!)
1972 'Cuda 340 4spd, Blk/Blk.

Sold November 2012.  Will be missed and fondly remembered...

Replaced by this..I know, I know it ain't no classic...but it doesn't rattle and is wicked fast even with AC on...

Possibly hunt down a vacuum leak and change out some 30+ year old vacuum hoses.
1972 Dodge Challenger Rallye 340, AT, Code TB3=Super Blue, SBD=8/17/1971.  Yes, a Rallye without the fender louvers from the factory because of the body side molding option.
