That B-17 is based in Mesa near where I live.  I've seen it in action in the seventies as a slurry bomber and I helped out in the early restoration process when I was in Civil Air Patrol.  (cleaning and scrubbing)  Great Pics!!!

The way the crew was going over it Saturday unfortunately none of your fingerprints remain!  What a magnificent aircraft.

Picked up my engine block, crank, pistons/rods and heads.  Stripped old blue paint of my oil pan.  Installed my taillights.  Rebuilt my heater box.   :faint:

working on cuda #8 this long weekend, finally got ignition harness from year one. 8 weeks and $250 later,it was worth the wait.i cant believe some of the electrical handy work found under the hood of some of my projects.next step to getting the 383 to rumble is draining all the quality fuel out and installing fresh plugs.fuel about 1 year old,had stableizer in it for storage,it is so flat i put some on a pinic table and it would not burn with a lighter!great stuff!
74 cuda,az car. built 383,727 manual shift,reverse pattern.8th cuda project,cant get enough!

Friday: Taking the rods back to the machine shop to get new bolts installed and get them resized (again).  Remove corrosion from the now bare metal on the oil pan.  Strip paint from other exterior engine parts.  Order parts.

Saturday: Mock up the engine and paint it.  Other miscellaneous restoration work.

Sunday and Monday: Ummm...
