We started a new schedule at work, 9/80, so I have every other Friday off now.... :woohoo:

So yesterday was my first Friday off and I put my back seat together and in my car, changed the position of my hood pins, fixed a ground that was problematic for the longest time and was going to do front brakes but when I took them off, the meat on the pads were brand new.....so I've got some squeaking coming from the passenger side front disc when I come to a stop, I may just have them cut the rotors to see if that helps.....but a good, productive day for me and my car!  :2thumbs:

Going to a cruise-in tonight with Goody, DanGoodmanJR and a few others....should be fun!

If we never drown we'll never know how well it tastes....So tell me how it tastes and I'll know just how well you drowned.

Cool videos! Sounds to me like the bottom end is pretty soft though, I know you were spinning, but it really wakes up after you get off the line a little ways. What gears/converter are in it? Or is it just me?

3.23's and a 2500 stall.  I don't punch it for the first 30 feet or so.  Only way I get some traction?

I'm in the process of getting some m/t drag street radials.  Hopefully that will allow a decent launch.  I'm leaving basically at idle(900rpm), the only time I tried to leave above (1500rpm) it spun bad all the way through first to the shift light.

I'm riding out tropical storm Hannah right now. Can't do much as it's pretty nasty today. :crying: I do most of my work under the carport. A little too windy/rainy. I really want to drop in the new rear end (3:91 posi) I just got from Moparal and then go and do like Tom and burn some rubber!! :woo: Sunday looks like it will clear out. Maybe I'll start then. Sounds like you've really been enjoying your car Tom. Glad to hear it. It's one sweet ride!! :2thumbs:

Thanks Goody and Matt!

Been enjoying it all summer long.

Goody, I only hope when I get the power down that the racing doesn't take too much of a hold.LOL  Like adding gears and such to it.  I haven't disconnected the front sway bar yet either, maybe next time with better tires.....

don't forget to pump up the front tire psi for less rolling resistance too! Not sure if you do, but after the burnout, rev it up in neutral a couple times to help clear the engine out. Letting off the throttle quick after the burnout may load up the plugs a little.

I'll have to remember that, I drove the car there and left the tires the way they were, 35psi and then drove home it was 100+miles round trip.

Yep, I used to take a little cheapo 12v 'tire inflator' with me and bumped them up to 45 or so (whatever is max on the sidewall). Then I'd just let it back out before heading home. You may try adding weight to the rear end if you are waiting on new tires. Sandbags over the axle in the trunk, I got my best e/t  on street tires by adding a full size floorjack and all the tools i could find to the trunk. Added traction/harder launch will outweight the actual weight!
