installing a stereo system ...

lol before anyone starts to beat be with hate word about removing the original stereo .... when my dad bought the car 20 years ago the owner before him had changed stereos out so since i started restoring it the plan was always to put in a new stereo

:nono: No one is gonna beat you....check out the Audi section of this site and you'll see how many people have put aftermarket stereos in their cars.....it just sounds better and it's good to listen to some rockin' tunes while cruising.   :ylsuper:

Be sure to post some pics!   :picture:

Yesterday I started the tear down of the car. Didn't get much accomplished , after cleaning the garage and organizing my bin boxes I got the plates pulled off , the battery pulled out and the headlights pulled off, my neighbour came over and we bs'ed the rest of the afternoon over a few beers. Today I hope to get a little further along before the beer fridge beckons me again.

Almost 12 hours later and nobody else has posted, guess that means I didn't miss anything.

I havent flown out of town yet, but did manage to run it hard on and offf for 20 miles. Letting fresh fuel get to the front and rear carbs.  That's my excuse anyways :bananasmi

Rained all weekend here, but I cleaned up some old Mirada rims I had laying around and got some M/T's mounted up.

I traced an electrical problem, and switched out my quarter windows for some 70 style ones that I had laying around.  Still have some minor adjustments and put the interior back together

Next weekend (the post man willing) I will switch to manual brakes and maybe actualy drive my car.  :burnout: :burnout: :burnout: :woohoo:
