Makes me want to take my car off the stands and go for a ride. :2thumbs:   I'd have to Rev it up and dump the clutch and hold my foot on the brake to make that much smoke. Mine seems to hook and go

It would be fun, but I have it up to put a 6qt pan on it and new 3/8ths fuel lines from inline tube.   sure looks fun. I tried it one time before. It went for about 200ft tho. What a waste of T/A's .  Maybe tuesday :roflsmiley:

Yeah I think I used a quart under the tires, NOT, no line lock needed here.

Ya do know about 95% of cars running a line lock dont NEED a line lock. They just like their trans and brakes more than you.

Nice burnout though!  :2thumbs:

I have a adj prop valve for the rear brakes and back it off a bit if i feel the need to save the rear brakes a bit.LOL  Why is the trans any worse with or without?  I only go to about 3-3.5K rpms on the burnout.

Bet the guy in the Jeep loved it, too!

Rear brakes on puts more load on the driveline due to the drag.  Since putting the line lock on mine I never leave rubber w/o it!

Yep, you'll get more converter slip/heat without the line lock.

The guy in the jeep had slowed down to check out all the mopars parked to my left, I waited till he was next to me to start and caught up to him pretty quick.LOL

Thanks on the trans stuff, I got a big cooler for that and never seems to have a problem with the brakes.  Last time I looked at the rear shoes(actually Sat morning yesterday) they looked pretty good still with no glazing or cracks.

Pulled a couple plugs out today, do these look ok?

Look pretty normal to me.  Can't really read the ground electrode w/o a shot directly on the back of it where it connects to the thread body but from what I can see timing is good, definately not too lean and no indications of detonation anywhere.

Looks like an Accell plug.  What number do you use?

I think it was a 496 plug but not 100% Small Block.

Thanks just wanted to make sure is all, I had some champions in that were fouling up on me, but that could have been the tune(me)LOL.  I have gotten better at the tuning this summer thankfully but now the cooler weather is here and wanted to keep an eye on it.

plugs looks to lean of a condition and your heat range is off.... Tech from a mopar article...

To read the plug and know if you have the right heat range, look at the difference in color of the strap. If the color change is too close to the strap's end (above the center electrode), the heat range is too cold. This means the heat is being absorbed too quickly into the base ring and is not able to burn off carbon deposits effectively. If the color of the strap changes too close to where it is attached to the base ring (the last thread ring), that means the plug's heat range is too hot. This means heat is not being transferred from the strap to the base ring quickly enough. A proper heat range will be shown by the different coloration actually occurring at half the distance of the ground strap.

Thanks Stroker,

I got another set of plugs to put in 1 step hotter, the weather will make it leaner too.
