Could be over 100 degrees today so I would say its another day in the garage. :banghead:

I lied :grinyes: I talked my wife into letting us take it to the pool. I couldnt relax though, as I sat looking out at the parking lot the entire time making sure my baby was ok!

I put on my Edelbrock 4 barrel manifold and carb today! It sure runs a lot better now.  I need to do some fine tuning, but I ran out of time today.  We have a graduation party to attend and the we are going to a BBQ and baseball game.

For the second weekend in a row welding 4-small holes put there by the original owner for a trailer hitch...Laying on your back welding overhead is no fun...neither is grinding
Of course the temp in the 90's isn't helping

Sounds like it's unsettled everywhere. Wind blowing crazy here.
Tomorrow I plan to pain the K member...wind is supposeed to be less. I work outside so I have to wait till it is workable out there.

Perfect weather today. Put in 80 miles and dropped in on an old friend. Talked about our cars mostly. (he owns Chevys). That's OK though, he's just another hot rod enthusiast like me.

I got my new manifold, Edelbrock Thunder Series 650 CFM carb and air cleaner on.  :2thumbs:

I still need to do some minor adjustments but it runs great and starts really good.

I took my car out Saturday on a 140 mile cruise to a car show/swap meet/drag race.  All mopars.  I enjoyed Watching Changin Gears (GARY) run his car down the track a few times.  He launches on a 4 speed at 6000 rpms. You should hear it :2thumbs: Bought a side mount tunnel ram linkage kit (enderle) for 25 bucks to give to hemiken.  Bought Barry some cool original license plates. And found out my car gets 10 mpg or so at 45 mph :faint:   Well, speedin up and down a little bit on the trip to. But in 98 degree weather, the engine temps stayed between 188 and 200 when ideling at the stop lights or cruisin.  Oil pressure stayed at 45 idle and 70 cruisin.

I went from a faded tailpanel with missing or badly oxidized reflectors to a nice newly painted one.
