Finished up the brakes today, looking forward to testing them out next week. :)

Thanks LAA66 just by chance I had to change the drivers side caliper today . That wire part was not on the old cal but came with the new one . When checking in this morning I saw it and you showed me how to install it . THANKS . :cooldancing:

I rolled it out by the road with a for sale sign on it,but I am not pushing to sell it.I just know that at this time in my life that it would have to take a back seat to everything else that I am doing(kids and two other cars that I am working on)I hate seeing it just sit in my driveway covered up,the 69 Cuda has the garage and my iroc R/T is sitting outside also(kinda gets overwhelming)I really don't expect anyone as nuts as me to have the cash to splurge on a project of this size, but you never know?It is a 71 340 Cuda, heres a close up of the for sale sign. And a couple of pics of some of the parts that I have gotten for it(yes there is more,my back couldn't carry anymore)

I started the task of de-rustifing my car; I started with the trunk area.  Lots of surface rust on the upper areas of the fenders and tail panel, the result of many years of water sitting in the trunk.  I am using lots of elbow grease hand sanding the areas and then and a rust product called Picklex 20.

It sure feels good stopping the advancement of future damage to my baby.

I am still working on the damage the mechanic and previos owner caused.   I got the hogs head back from the shop.  3.55 gears and a limited slip.  I bolted that in, installed the drive shaft this week.  Workign on cleaning up the rear disc brake conversion.  Painting some rusty parts, replacing some nuts and washers.  This weekend I will pit it all back together.

Then I need to install the new sending unit, change the oil, flush the radiator.

Took it out for a 30 minutes spin today through the nonsalted backroads. It's been two months since I stored it and now it was time to rotate the tires and shake all the fluids. Dry icy roads out there and the grip was quite ok for December. Car is still as clean as yesterday ;D
