If my intake gaskets come in, I'll be wrapping up a new set of lifters in my 318. Had several that wouldn't hardly hold at all! The few times it's been in the 6500-7000rpm range (on accident) probably didn't do them much good.

Got the lifters swapped out. I took off my redneck ram air and cut the snorkels off the air cleaner

It was semi-functional, not too bad at it. But it was during my days of seeking every 1/10th to break that 13sec threshold, it's a bunch of mix-matched stuff from different cars. Looks too pieced together (which it was)

Well,

Here in Indiana it has warmed up for a few days.  So today I installed a new radiator shroud, new 180* stat, and new rad fluid.  Plan on changing oil and oil filter later today or tomorrow.

Come on Spring....hurry up and get here......

You guys have a WONDERFUL weekend!!!

I spent a couple hours frustrating myself replacing my upper radiator hose with a new original type hose and clamps.
Why do 20 minutes jobs turn into 3 hours? and now it leaks!!
It doesnt fit well on the radiator end, and those original type clamps kinda....well...they suck. They just dont seal well the whole 360 degrees.

I agree on the clamps, they surely don't make them anymore for that reason. I wanted to go that route but heard the stories about them and backed out

Yep, I agree.......

It feels good to move closer to that end goal.

On the engine stand.....

The next step is to get all the external stuff off the motor,

Went with a buddy to Seattle to look at a '69 Bee. He bought it and drove it back to Yakima. Brought a trailer in case we needed one. We didn't need it for the Mopar.... his Ferd broke down on the way home! Wish the Super Bee had a hitch!
