sweet bee

I made new alu sailpanels, dug up a bunch of parts that will be blasted and powdercoated this week,  and also repaired and repainted the powersteeringpump.  I`m happy with the way the cooler came out... forgot to take before pics, but it had been beat up pretty bad  :eek4:

I also came to the happy conclusion I can see an end to the pile of parts that need to be cleaned/ restored...  :bananasmi

If that's the one that's been on the local Craigslist, it was a smokin deal.
Nice score  :2thumbs:

Ha!  no... I bought the car from another CC member last July.   I'm happy to have it!

Tommy...  I do a lot of video editing so I popped the cell phone video into an editor (Pinnacle Studio) .   It's a straigth forward mpeg2 file and the editor helped me clean up the sound.

Also... that's what the Flowmaster 10 Series sounds like...  crazy loud...  fun for short hops, but would be killer for long range.  Maybe some day I'll have this car in touring shape.  Then I'll change outthe mufflers...   :working:

Dropped off alot of sheet metal with my body guy.  Let the welding begin.  I was lucky yesterday.  I was transporting my replacement front floor panel in a trailer.  It and my hood were strapped together.  I was driving down the interstate and suddenly I see that floor pan take flight.  It seems the cheap cargo strap I was using broke.  It was a miracle that it didn't strike another car.  I was able to pull over quickly (about 300m) down the road.  I could see the panel and it was lying in the right hand lane.  I sprinted back to the panel in the freezing rain, waving at the tractor trailers to switch lanes and not run over my new panel.  I was lucky again and it didnt get squashed; just a few scratches from the impact with the road.   :faint:

OH Man!! I love freeway escapades! My first car was a Aspen R/T with a automatic transmission and one day I was coming home across the I-205 bridge and the cheap silicone gasket ( squirt kind ) seal my uncle put on the car before selling it to me failed and puked out all of the tranny fluid. So I lost power steering evrything and the engine died. I had to get out in the middle of 4 lanes of heavy traffic and dump tranny fluid ,( luckily I had a few quarts in the trunk ) into the fill tube with the hood up while Semi's were flying by at 60 miles an hour. I was in the middle lane on the uphill section of northbound traffic. The semi's flying by were rocking the hell out of the car and I just knew some one was gonna rear-end me while I was hanging out of the engine compartment. Next day I scraped off his silicone gakset and put the right gasket on. :working: :22yikes: :crying:

R&R'ed the trans mount on the 73 and sprayed some fresh undercoating on the trunk extensions. Had a shop install a new selector shaft seal and no more leaky-leaky.  :2thumbs:

My head hurts from deciding if I want to spend some REAL money on a V-code car.
