Let's see if I have this right....

If it rains, we're rescheduling for Sunday, but the gates open Saturday morning.

It's been raining off/on all morning here in the middle of the state.

100% chance of rain predicted for all of NC.  :bricks1:

Rained all the way home from Charlotte last week. I don't want a repeat of THAT!

« Reply #8 on: Today at 02:54:57 PM »QuoteModifyRemoveWell..............there will be no pics this year................about 1:00, I drove up to the track just to check to see what was going on.  There was some racing and on the lot where the show is usually..........3 cars.  I talked to one of the judges and he said there had been calls all morning about the weather and about 10 cars actually showed up. One guy unloaded off a trailer, had a sprinkle of rain and loaded back up and left.  They had 14 classes and 1,2, 3 places in each class.  So sad..........could have been a great day.  I didn't even take mine.  The weather was so unsettled.  Nothing tomorrow.   Have to wait until next year.  Guess they will have to change the dates on the awards..........

Bringing her home. The wife and I left NE yesterday morning @ 6:00 am, drove 8 hours to IL, picked up the car and the trailer and brought them back to NE today. Neither rain, nor 40 mph gusts nor snow shall keep us from...

Wow, it's been a while. Working on photography for my son's musicals, other son's soccer practice/games, outdoor projects including building on to the shed/barn for the new goats we just had. Too many things going on. It's been weeks since I've been able to work in the shop and this spring has been unusually cold.

In any case, I finally got my heater/ac box put together. Just need the vacuum lines and I'll get it installed into the car. Woo Hoo!

Do you think I could trouble you for a few more pics?  I have some holes in mine where hot air blows out and am not sure what is supposed to go there.  By the front, I mean the area facing the passengers in the car.  Thank you.

I actually worked on it today. I got it up on Jack Stands and pulled the front wheels. I put new brake pin bolts in.

Next i need to:
Pull the trans pan and seal it better
Change the oil
Reroute the ebrake cable from when i first built the car and accidently stuck the "S" hook on top of the crossmember.  :banghead:
Then after i sand blast the new steelies, they'll go on with new BFG's

Finally fixed my passenger side tail light socket, kept falling out.  I had to put an aftermarket replacement in, fit ok and works well.  Swapped horn relay since mine took a dump last year, not sure I enjoy the key in buzzer feature yet.  Re-secured the front header panel to stop shaking headlights.  Checked air pressure.LOL  Getting ready to put it back on the road.  Still need to change the oil and filter.

BTW, where does the heater control cable route through the firewall to the hot water switch in the engine compartment. I'll post the reference photos in the Interior sub-group.

After taking my '73 rattle box on the FWY to the Fling on Saturday I HAD to figure out why my console was making soo much noise.   :pullinghair:

This is all a learning experience for me... I didn't know the fake wood grain was a pretty heavy metal plate.  I re-installed it with a few pieces of weather stripping and Sunday's drive to the Fling was soo much better.

I'm thinking of getting some thin rubber and making a gasket for the plate...  the weather strip was too thick...

Was there a stock gasket for this?

I'm actually not doing it, but the R/T is in the shop for paint.  Six coats of Plum Crazy and six coats of clear.  She'll be ready in 3 weeks.  :bananasmi
