Wow, 65 degrees in Kansas today.  I put the day to good use by installing an iPod player and speakers and then taking a cruise with my son.  He was the DJ.  I forgot how nice it is driving and listening to good tunes vs listening to all the squeaks and popping sounds and wondering what I need to fix next.

In the shop today getting set to replace the idler arm, tidy up some slop in the front suspension, and then a wheel alignment.

Drives like a completely different car.

Replacing the passenger side leaf spring, now that the driver's side is done.

Then dropping the leaky gas tank.  Anyone want a good tank, perfect condition, except for the leak at the seam?

Finished the springs and gas tank.  Installed a missing fuel filter.  Then I took off the car cover, and took her for a ride around the block with out the rear valance or license plate.  I pulled in to the gas station to put a few gallons of gas in to make sure I didn't have any leaks - alls well on that front.  But I shut the car off while gassing up, and I couldn't get her started.  It was about 15 to 20 deg F, and it wasn't warmed up much.

Finally did get her started and she ran fine the rest of the way home.  I guess it's a fair weather car... :dunno:

Normally wouldn't take her out this time of the year, but streets were dry, and we've had several rain showers since the last salting incident.

I just read 4Cruizn thread on refurbishing his dash on interior and gauges.
Warning on not gounding Dash Cluster.

I also posted a thread on this page on my refurbishin,
My reply to Dave,.
Dave if u haven't glued the woodgrain to the dash yet. get a small bottle of DAP weldwood Contact Cement. at Lowe's.
When u glue the woodgrain to base use cloth pins the spring type. Don't use any tape on woodgrain it will pull up paint grain.
learned by mistake. There are tabs on back of panel that hold the woodgrain to black panel. Use a micro cloth when u polish plastic lens. Not a buffer.
Do not use an abrasive polish.  I used Black Magic Polish wax, Maguiars PlastX. that i got at carshows in small packets.......
warning damage to the instruments can result uf the cluster is partially removed before disconnecting the battery,.
The instrument panel must be properly grounded to avoid damage, do not place any insulation materials between gauge cluster to eliminate
squeaks,  could result in burnouts. This is per a bulletin from Chrysler 1970.
