Driving it is going to take some getting used to. The cam, stroker, and porting job has resulting in an engine with two speeds, on and off. Couple that with a competition clutch that wants to grab, and I have a little trouble getting going without chirping the tires.

So far, I've barely cracked the throttle on it. I don't really want to until I get new tires at least.

There's nothing remotely elegant about the car, and that's just the way I like it (see my pseudonym).

Rebuilt my little 318 this weekend, it'll do until my engine swap. If you are wondering about the color, well when I tore her apart, I found a surprise. 340 X heads were on the block! The engine is actually from a 1971 car, so it was the Chrysler blue, with ford blue painted over it at one point...

Since my car is a 70 I decided to go Chrysler (Hemi) orange. It may not be correct, but it'll do for the next year until I can swap in something better.

I got around to putting my hydroboost brake booster and master cylinder on the fire wall and hooking it up directly to the pedal.  Yesterday I cleaned up and RPM'd my factory proportioning valves and hooked up new stainless lines.  Looks good so far.  Todays plan is to clean up my wiper motor and paint it black and RPM my wiper linkage.  I gotta take care of all my firewall stuff before I install the motor.  Slow but sure. Feels good to actually be putting the car back together.

Bought a gallon of Evaporust on sale.

Scrubed and scrubed and scrubed most of the day.
It was rusty on the outside and this was the best way to remove it without a sand blasting mess.

Driving, driving and more driving.......

I love having two to choose from although the Cuda with the MS and MT is a much more visceral driving experience.  :burnout:

This past weekend I installed my motor and trans K-frame set up.  Last night I cut my spring perches off and Im  getting ready to do some Dr.Diff spring relocaters.  I should be able to get that set up in the next couple of days.  Gotta make some calls to get my bearings and center chunk rebuilt.  Long ways to go, but getting closer.
