Bought a gallon of Evaporust on sale.

Scrubed and scrubed and scrubed most of the day.
It was rusty on the outside and this was the best way to remove it without a sand blasting mess.

hey topcat, what is that evaporust and how does it work?

Taking my car to the track tonight to see what kind of numbers it will put up in the 1/4 mile. First time I've ever done this, should be fun.

Purchased new BFG T/As.. 255-60-15 fronts, 275-60-15 rears for my vintage 15x8 minilite rims.... replacing my 24 yrold T/As having less than 4k miles.... will get new steering alignment better suited for road course racing/hwy driving... in place of the competition pylon/autocross alignment.   Then... doing final car prepping for Wknd of Sept 13-15 road course racing at Gingerman Raceway, SW MICHIGAN (I'm the official "PACE CAR" on Saturday with my T/A, then hi-speed autocross competition on Sunday... packing my tent, etc for a 2-night campout (Fri-Sat.. drive home to ~NW suburban Chicago area Sun after the races.. r2 hm ~8pm if lucky.  Hoping the weather will be good.. so far looks good!
Autocross/road racers go in deeper... and come out harder!

See  MOPAR ACTION MAGAZINE, AUGUST 2006 ISSUE for featured article and details on my autocross T/A.

Spent the day vacuuming broken glass.

High winds sent a branch straight through the drivers side glass of the Chally.

Im heading out to the garage to tack weld my spring perches on my rear axle housing.  Remove the rear end, sand blast everything, remove the center chunk, and paint the housing.  I have plans to drop it off this week to a friend for the diff rebuild with a new trutrac and bearings.  Hopefully I can have it in by next weekend.  Need to order a drive shaft.  Then I have to install the rear disk brakes and start measuring for wheels.  It may be able to support its own weight in the next couple of weeks!!  Maybe???  Still got a long way to go, but getting closer.

This past weekend I installed my motor and trans K-frame set up.  Last night I cut my spring perches off and Im  getting ready to do some Dr.Diff spring relocaters.  I should be able to get that set up in the next couple of days.  Gotta make some calls to get my bearings and center chunk rebuilt.  Long ways to go, but getting closer.
That is a really neat cart for the motor/trans. I have never taken a motor out the bottom, but friends have and claim it is the only way to go.

Well it started this weekend and I finished last night..........The story.......went to a car show Sat and a couple behind me said my brake lights were not working correctly.  Or the signals.........Took the car home after the show and at dusk started fidling with the lights.  The parking lights were completely not working and the brake lights were dim on the drivers side and not much better on the passenger side.  The signals caused all the lights at the rear to act funky........SO.....I removed all the tail light rings, housing , etc.  Figured it was just a ground problem and looked at all the contact points.  The paint was covering most of the points and so I scraped the spots, repainted the reflective housings, remounted the parts, put the light sockets back in and.................................they worked.........I knew nothing in the wiring was different so what else could it have been.  I feel lucky..........maybe I need to buy a lottery ticket........

I gave the Challenger a wash before putting her in winter storage this afternoon. Then I realized it's the first time all the girls are home together. I had to snap a picture of them so please say hello to (from the left side) Tea, Cecilia and India
