I took my car out for a very satisfying drive this past Saturday, HWY 84 at the town of Woodside and up the hills toward the Pacific ocean. I think I got to about half way and then have to turned back as the car was low on gas. Better fill her up next time before starting. The roads take you through some hilly terrains with lots of 25 mph (speed limit) turns. There were some very nice cars on the road like Ferraris, Lambos, Porsches, some classics like Vettes and Panteras. I think I was the only Mopar and I did not have any problem keeping up when going up the hills, but could not keep up going down hills. Time to upgrade steering, suspension and brakes. Some driving training would not hurt either, LOL BTW, just love the exhaust note from my little 340, it does not even have headers. If weather is good this coming week, I take my 392 and try again.

Take the drive up thru La Honda then onto Hwy 1.

Sorry to hear that happened to a nice car. He/she must be going pretty fast. There are a lot of bicycle riders and small animals on that road too, safety first.

My buddy told me he drove right by it, it was just passed 4 corners towards the ocean.

Came around a corner and there it was sitting on it's top, he said it must have been going really fast because the person they clipped was hit quite some way back on the road.

Well, I am sitting by the side of the freeway waiting for the tow truck. Looks like the water pump failed and water just pouring out when I try to refill it. Hope I did not damage the engine.

I took mine out for a short run ( maybe the last of the season?) and bounced if off the rev limiter a couple times while wearing off a few thousand miles on the rear tires!

I went to a small car show a few miles from my house.  I need to get the new vinyl top on.
A buddy of mine also brought his 'Cuda, you can't tell from the pic, but the color is a beautiful Black Cherry Metallic.

I am taking the bondo off my car.  I want to see what other metal I need. One of the previous owners was a sculptor not a welder...

I am gonna use the MAP gas torch and scraper method.  I did a test section. The paint/bondo bubbled.  While heated, I was able to easily scrape the bondo to metal.  I'll post an AFTER pic.

The picture shows the results of the chisel method of bondo removal. Too much work, noise, dust...

Adjusted the Valve lash today.

Front shocks by Ridetech show up early next week.
Ordering the H pipes next week.

What's left till install/fire up:

Driveshaft shortened and re balanced
Accelerator cable play issue
road lamp hole cut into firewall
Prime engine and connect all harnesses

Looks like I may have the best Christmas yet.
