Wiring up and putting new windshield back in car with correct 3/8's butyl tape!

 :bricks1:

can you get thicker tape? I think 3/8ths is too thin unless you have the thicker factory windshield. I used 3/8ths with a replacement windshield and it makes all the trim sit too low - of course I could have put it in wrong too - I'm good at that kind of stuff..
70 Cuda, 7.0L Gen-III Hemi, Viper T56 w/9310 gearset, 3.91's, Megasquirt MS3x v3.57, Innovate wideband, Firm Feel upper arms, torsion bars, springs and strut rods, QA1 DA shocks. I did everything on this car except the fancy paint stuff and I drive it...and I can't seem to stop messing with it....

The kicker is that when you set the windshield on the 3/8" butyl tape you DON'T press down on the window squishing the sealer.

3/8" butyl tape is the correct size and you need to have someone who really knows their cars.

Re-installed my alternator after having two places tell me it was bad and two places said it was fine.  the last place I took it too was an automotive electrical rebuild shop, and said they would have it fixed by the end of the day yesterday.  they called me about an hour after I dropped it off and said it was fine.  I figured I could trust these guys!  I bought a regulator from them, as that would be the next culprit for a Discharging Ammeter.  sure enough, put on the new regulator too, fired her up, and the Ammeter was showing Charge!  woooo!   :woohoo: :woohoo:

Cleaned, masked, painted and test fitting...
First time building a front suspension. A lot of thanks to all of you that have posted yours! So if you see anything bass ackwards feel free to say so. BTW the Pitman arm is not all the way on because it needs to be indexed. Just not sure yet how to do that. And the Tie rod ends could be inside out but I think I got them right.
Caliper paint for the calipers, Cast Blast on all the natural looking parts, Cast Blast High Heat on the other brake parts and Rust-olem Satin Nickel Lower Control Arms.
Not going for factory correct colors, I just looked at what others had done and did them the way I thought looked good.
Decided to paint instead of PC to save a few buck$$.

Not sure if I should paint the dust shields gloss black or keep them natural.
What do you guys like them to be? :feedback:
Still a long way to go. I think I'll have to beef up my dolly before I put any more parts on.

Started the car for the first time with the 6 pack installed. Sounds great! Can't wait for the roads to dry from all the melting snow so I can try it out. Ordered a March serpintine belt system and vintage air.

Nice
Are you replacing an existing AC system or adding AC to a Non-AC car?
I've wondered if there was a clean way to add AC to my Non-AC car...
Look forward to seeing how that goes.

I'm adding A/C to a non A/C car. I'll add pictures once I start the install.
