Crossing my fingers here, but if it doesn't get too wet I'll be able to finish planting by Friday afternoon and be able to spend the up until mid-day Sunday removing the front clip and grinding away on the uni prepping it for the flat bed to take it away to CU ... where I can spend a few hours during the week working on it at a colleague's better equipped garage (it has heat, AC ... and ventilation ... to be tenured and loaded).

The front clip is trash. It isn't stock and the replacement looks like it was made from several rolls of tinfoil. I'm wondering if there are some good after-market subs out there that would just let me completely modernize the front suspension.

Greenfishie, where are you located? Zero tillage or planting done here in my part of Ontario. Nitrogen started going on the wheat yesterday. Last year a lot of corn was in by now.

I took mine out for a drive today and bought some 110 Octane racing gas.  It sure woke up the engine!  I I am only running 10:1 compression so I was quite surprised at the difference in feel.

While I was out the battery decide to quite on me.   :swear:  :clueless: No worrning or anything, pulled up to the stop light and she died....then the dreaded click click click.  Luckly someone held traffic while I rolled it over to the curb.

Had to get a new battery, but I made it home once I put the new one in.  :bananasmi

I agree Brad.  But with the EFI and computer it takes a lot of volts/amp to keep the battery charged.  I need to check and see if the Alt is putting out enough voltage.

Brad, I got a chance to test the altinator tonight.... :walkaway: its only putting out 11.56 volts.  :faint:

Time to order a new one.  Sad as this one is only two years old.  :swear:  :pullinghair:

I just bought a Powermaster from Year One. They're supposed to be top notch units.

Wouldn't a die cutter give a cleaner cut ?
