Adjusted the throttle linkage, and front and rear bands in my 727. Also installed a filter extension kit good for an extra quart and put an external transmission cooler on. Changed fluids as well.

Now time to start planning my approach for taking care of the rust on the lower drivers side 1/4

Problems I need to fix before I can really open her up plus a few others:

My OEM Carters aren't enough CFM for the extra C.I. it now has.
Now at 485 c.i. with a Bullet solid cam. It's the front carb that has no idle adjustable circuit.
Front cylinders are lean and engine dies out under 1300 rpm.

Power steering pump isn't assisting box. Bought a new one today.
Brake booster I had Dewey built doesn't seem to be operating. Send out it looks like.

Trip odometer is having all numbers turning together after I had it sent out to be re built.
Clock not working.

Topcat - looking awesome! great job on the build, she looks beautiful. sorry to hear about the multiple issues with the 'rebuilts' .... kinda lame that so many issues popped up with all those reconned parts, hopefully it'll get sorted out quickly for you so you can enjoy it this summer.

I'm unloading my girl from the trailer today and I'll be starting to get into it this weekend to evaluate where it's at rust wise and mechanically. initial looks .... I can't believe how good of shape she is in overall, for being parked outside without any cover and sitting on the ground (gravel at least) since '87

(after loading, before the long trip home)

Thanks to my friends at JC Auto Restoration in Murrells Inlet SC ,Having the outer body media blasted along with all the welded joints that were done on the car. Then epoxy primer right away.  http://www.cuda-challenger.com/cc/index.php?topic=75207.0

took my son and the cuda out to burn some gas. There was a 1.5hr cruise and a 120 car show after that in the next town from where I live.  Someone made a vid impression.  May be some cars in there you guys don`t see every day... It was organized by the Saab / Volvo club hence the number of those...
My personal favorit of the day was a 71 tradesman explorer camper... way cool  :bigshades:
