How does this attach?  Do i need to take the rear seat out?  How difficult is that?

You mean between the trunk and the backseat, correct?

You only need to remove the top half of the rear seat. There should be two bolts holding down the top half, if you feel in the 'gap' between the bottom and top halves you should feel them. You can get tricky with a socket/extension and get them out, or go through and pull the bottom half out first. Once those bolts are out you pop the top half hop, and out. The divider just hangs on the two 'hooks' that hold the top portion of the top half to the car. There are two hang-offs on the divider that need to slide behind the rear kickpanels, you can probably finesse it in there, if you are uncomfortable doing that...then the rear kickpanels need to come out too.
