Does anybody make a BOLT-IN subframe connector for a 70 challenger?? All I can find is weld in......my bolt in skills are better than my welding

Mopar makes bolt-in kits i believe. Try searching through summits online catalog. However i hear the drilling for the bolts is a pain, and welding is a lot more structurally sound.

I've read that the Mopars are not really bolt in also. I guess I will start thinking about the weld in ones. Thanks

Did you notice a difference after they were on?? Does it help maintain the door to fender gaps when the car is being raised in the front only??

They dont 'bolt-in'. 'bolt-in' means there are exisiting holes you use. You have to drill the holes in your frames to install those subframes.

that still sounds good. I meant using bolts as opposed to welding them in.

I remember someone posting they had to cut a little of the connectors to make them sit right with an angle grinder aswell. :22yikes:

The only thing besides the connector(instructions) was a small spot where the two floor pans meet.  Actually I just sliced it and bent them up, I could bend them back and weld up if needed.

Tom

There is a small flange or lip there, that is where I cut it.  Tough to see.

There is another vendor who makes twin tubular frame connectors, cannot remember who as it was on the hard drive that crashed. They were powder coated and bolted straight in.   :cooldancing:
