Battleship Show Pics I
« on: April 27, 2008 - 08:02:52 AM »
Jerry trailered the recently finished 1970 RR, James and his wife drove Jerry's 1967 440 GTX, and Johnny drove Jerry's Hemi equiped 1967 GTX; his son Nick, the shop painter Jeff, and myself (riding shotgun :jumping:) were the passengers. The 440 car has rearched springs while the Hemicar does not - yet. With 3" pipes she sounded sweet although we did bottom out a couple of times. No damage though and the Hemi made the trip averaging 14 - 16 mpg while never going over 190 degrees.

I know mechanically it's a no-no, but the 22s or 24s or whatever the heck size they are on the 1971 Fury didn't look too bad to me :2cents:

Thanks for the pics.  The 300 Hurst looks to be in great shape.  They are a bear to restore due to the lack of reproduction parts.

Btw, that 3G Charger in pics 2-4 isn't sporting paint - it's totally tape, similar  to contact paper that's used for cabinets :sly:

That's what most of the drag cars are using now. It costs about $10,000. It's likie a big decal. I was told it holds up about the same as paint.
