WIW 70 Plum Crazy 318 Challenger

Local 318 car. #s matching, original plum crazy. interior is pretty complete. Needs front floor/rear floor, truck pan, drivers 1/4, drivers fender has some rust, decklid has rust, hood has rust, and of course the roof lines as you can see. Also where the A-pillar meets the roofline its rotted out. Grille is nice

I hate seeing that. Do you know if the engine is good? Looking at it, I doubt it has been fired up anytime recently. That roof is shot.  I'll throw 6K at you.

Yikes, 6k for a 318 rusted out challenger?! brave soul! We figure not a hair over 3k, even then it looks like a parts car. Engine has 130,xxx miles on it, carb has been off it for years, she said 'it runs'. She also said it doesnt have much rust...

Roof replacement is what scares me..

Lotta good parts so 3k is about right imo. If the frame is shot I would part. I would probably part it out anyway because that kind of rusty scares me. Way too much work imo for what it is.

I hear ya. I paid 300 for the last parts car I bought, a 70 which btw is plum crazy lol. It is rough but I plan on actually making a car out of it instead of parting it. I got a wrecked 70 Challenger and a bare 73 'Cuda for free later on from the same guy.

I would restore it. I hate to see fixable cars parted out.

Yeah but its all about give and take around here. I gave the guy the top off my 71 parts car for free for his 72 Rallye. Oh and when I say wrecked 70 I mean wrecked, the man hit a light pole at about 90 mph or so. He is lucky to be alive. Nice to see that the crush can actually does its job. The one in that wrecked car looks like a slinky going down some stairs lol.

How is the cowl etc?  It looks pretty salvagable to me.
