Why does it always happen this way?
« on: April 30, 2008 - 08:25:02 PM »
Was looking through the local car paper that came out yesterday. Saw an ad for a 70 Challenger RT. Of course, I'm still unemployed and dont have any extra money, but I though I'd call anyways just to see what it was about, and to post it on here.

Car has been stored the last 22 years. Matching numbers 440 4-speed. All original. Solid. No rust. Runs and drives. Needs paint and interior work.

$11,500.

Guy said he just sold it.

I know I was too late, but if I had extra cash, I would have gotten the paper yesterday when it came out, and might have had a shot at it.

Always a day late, and a dollar short!

Being unemployed sucks.

Well, it happened again.

Son bought a Trader mag yesterday, and brought it over today.

I look in the car section, and see a 68 427 Camaro. $4500. So I call the guy. Old guy said he bought it 30 years ago in Texas. never drove it much. Gave it to his son back in 2000. In 2003, his son got killed in a car wreck (Not in the Camaro), and he is just getting around to selling it.

Of course, someone already bought it.

Geez.

I would be like...

AAAAAAARRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHH!!!!!!

1972 Dodge Challenger Rallye 340, AT, Code TB3=Super Blue, SBD=8/17/1971.  Yes, a Rallye without the fender louvers from the factory because of the body side molding option.

Pic #2 and 3 of my ARII 1/24 scale model car

Doesn't that just wrinkle your shorts!!!  :pullinghair: It's kinda like buying a new computer. Ya get one with all the bells and whistles, the fastest and greatest on the market. You are one happy camper. You go in to work to brag to all your friends and pick up the Best Buy flyer on the table and low and behold, there's one better that just came out yesterday!! :swear: :stomp: :stomp: :stomp: I hate it when that happens!!
