Gas prices and our beloved cars.

I WILL  still go to national events but since even local shows are usually a 100 mile round trip i womnt be doing many of them.

  We will drive the Chally to Carlisle and the Nats., besides we have also made motel reservations at both shows. However next year I'll be on my retirement income, comfortable living but not much room for "extras". I'll have to combine my "fun" money into one pot and perhaps monthly go to a local show and burn the hell out of the tires with the 440 machines.

We pay around $9.72 for a gallon here in Norway, and that's with a very good extange rate nowdays. It won't keep me from driving my 'Cuda, but it I don't think you have anything to complain about yet. I'd love to pay $4 a gallon..

Now they're saying that $200/barrel of oil is likely. That means we WILL be paying $8-$10 a gallon.

I won't be going to as many shows as I did last year. I'll prolly get the Chally out every other weekend, instead of every weekend.  Mine still has the $50 of gas in it when I filled it up for the winter. So that means mine is worth more, too.

We plan on taking my father's 360 Dart on the Power Tour this year.  I am sure we will spend a several hundred dollars in just over a week's time.  The gas prices stink, but we must enjoy our rides.

My chally is my only car, so I'm driving it anyway! Although I am trying to ride the motorcycle more when practical...

I will not be driving the cuda very much with prices this high and kenny wont be taking out the gto either until  prices settle down.We spend 150.00 a week in fuel to drive back in forth to work and that is enough.With gas up and food and all hard to spend money on the cars for fuel.We will be taking cars to national events but not to many local crusies.You see the same cars all the time at local cruise not worth wasting fuel.

Whats Ironic is I work for the company who makes all the crap for gas pumps etc... there are 2 companies in the world who do this and the other one is a real little outfit overseas... we are the main supplier for the world... you would be amazed how much of the old style mechanical pumps we ship over to foreign countries....

Howevr one of the several pieces I makes controls the pricing  a the pump

just wheneve you look at the gas pumps just dont think of me............ lol...... im not ripping you off.... just mke the stuff......

  EU, New Zealand & Australia have big greedy govt's who take more than their fair share of the fuel price, they make more than twice the price of the oil companies and we know that the oil companies are ripping us off big time.    They know we need to travel and so up the price as much as possible, why is there a price difference between states, the transportation costs don't vary that much. I noticed wide differences in price both up and down last year when travelling from Kansas via Oklahoma to California then up into Oregon.
