I really do not think their is much to worry about in reagards to fitment with the small block pipes.  The question you should be asking is what size header pipes should you be running with your cam and engine combos to get the right answer. :2thumbs:

Russ,

I would look into TTI for headers and the exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers.

Definitely love the Magna Flow mufflers. I have Flowmasters on my car now and am going to be replacing them with Magna Flow.

TTi makes the best fitting headers all other I can find go under the steering & are smashed flat after a couple of weeks , not a fan of Flowmaster mufflers , Dynomax , Hooker aero are better IMO , I would be looking at 2.5" pipe
with the right cam grind Manifold work great too

For what it's worth i have some cheapo summit headers on my barracuda. Lowered the front end pretty decently, summit adjustable shocks on all four corners...the only time i've smacked my headers is going about 45 through an intersection i didnt know had a huge dip in the middle of it. Under normal driving, besides that, they were kept dent free.

I would run 3" to 2.5" smooth reducers to mandrel bent 2.5" aluminized pipe, an X-pipe cross-over, dynomax, hooker, spintech mufflers are all good. I have flowmasters on my car, i wouldnt recommend them. Exiting exhaust like a AAR Cuda or a T/A Challenger will help promote scavange of the exhaust at speed, otherwise just ran out the back of the car will do. I would add atleast one oxygen sensor bung to the exhaust if you plan to get serious on tuning/tweaking that 340.

CP

What do you recomend for a cam...from the other post?  340 .030 over, running 3.91 gears w a 3sp OD trans.

Want it to run strong ...thinking of oversizing the cam and using rhodes lifters to help w vaccum and bottom end...any thoughts

I got no complaints of the Doug's headers.  They do have a 1 5/8 tube though.  Nice for the $$.  Do not go under the steering.
