surprise......
« on: May 02, 2008 - 09:27:31 AM »
I finally got my 72 Cuda back from the body shop. Trying to find time to reassemble the chrome etc. I am trying to figure out if I want to paint the rally hood inserts white. I had them painted separately so this will be an easy install. The 72 Cuda is a  1970 Special order orange with a white hockey stick strip. Interior will be white as well. I also cut out the hood inserts. Was thinking of painting them white with a very thin pin stripe down to the front of the hood on the character line. I cant seen any pics of other members cars who may have done something similar?

looking good, George!

The Cuda hoods are cool since they have a bigger, more aggressive scoop area vs the Challenger hoods.  :grinyes:

The combo in bananaskins photo really sets the stripe off. A matching white color just on the top of the inserts with hockey sticks would look cool. IMO

Thanks for the kind words. I now have the hockey stripe on. Paint job is just so so....lots of dirt and some scratches/dings. I left the glass fenders alone, FL doesn't have any inspection laws. Will install the antenna soon along with the other stuff. george in Tallahassee
