Hello,
I've been registered for a while and it's finally time to introduce myself.
I live in Florida, I'm a Mechanical Engineer and I have worked in the Automotive Industry for 22 years. The coolest thing I worked on was the Manual Adjustable Pedals for the 1st Generation Viper. Overall, I've worked on Airbag Sensors, Seatbelts, Seats, Adjustable Pedals, Electronic Throttle Controls and now I develop Headrest DVD Entertainment Systems. I've crash tested everything from 20,000 lb Class 8 Tractors, School Busses, Pickups, Cars to Golf Carts.
My project is a 1971 Challenger Convertible, I've owned the car for 18 years and have dragged it with me from New Jersey, to Michigan, to Texas, back to Michigan, to Indiana and now Florida. It's been taken apart for 15 years and soon I will be starting back on it after a long hiatus. I'm not sure what the plan is because I've changed my mind over the years. Originally it was going to be Plum Crazy 440-6, 4-speed, Dana Clone. Now I'm leaning toward White 5.7L Hemi with a 4-speed overdrive.
I also have a 1969 Newort Convertible which is a nice driver that use a couple of times a month. My daily driver is a Dakota R/T.
Here are some pictures of the Challenger buried in the garage.
