Hi Guys,

Here is a copy of what i recieved from Legendary interiors through my e-mail. :jumping:

Hey guys,
We are expecting sample Gator grain material in next week that we anticipate will have the correct grain, color as well as the 1,200 hour level (5) UV protection quality. If we are satisfied with this sample, we will begin taking orders for actual tops. Our extensive research and development will ensure that our Gator grain vinyl is "as original" as possible. In fact with our 1200 hour UV protection this will exceed original specs. We anticipate having the roll material to begin production of the vinyl tops in approx 2-3 weeks. The first shipment will be enough vinyl for us to make approx 25 vinyl tops. The final shipment of material will be here in 30-60 days after the first batch. The introductory price has been established at $1,195 each through May. After the 30 day introductory price the cost for each top will be $1,295. Continuing with our tradition of bringing the highest quality most original products to the market, we appreciate your interest and patience during this development process. We understand this is a product you have been waiting on for several years and we are confident that you will be more than satisfied. For additional information please contact me directly and I will be happy to assist you.

Might be me, but it seems the greed factor is high.  I guess because it's mopar.  I'm also guessing the mark up is way up on it, maybe because they may not sell enough to re coupe the investment. I don't know, but 1300 bucks for a vinyl top, plus labor seems to be up there when you say it out load.

:iagree: Alan.   But i find it very forfilling knowing these items are being reproduced.  The first introductory recommended price was going to be $1600, but Legendary must of got enough interest to drop the release price.  Fingers crossed it is the same as the original for all those who need this to finish off their car. :2thumbs:

I agree the price is   :scared:   but if I had a car that needed one I would buy. It sounded like they were only getting two rolls of the material so there won't be many made.

When can we expect to see your (much cheaper) Gator Grain tops hit the market?

:roflsmiley:

  About 15 years ago, I took my company air boat out in the marsh and drove it on top of a mother gator. Then I jumped out and caught around 4 of her babies which were around 3 to 4 foot long and brought them to my motel room in Cameron La. I had taped their mouths shut and filled the bath tub up so they could play while I went back out to work the next day. The maid left me a note on the bathroom door saying...

Hey if you want fresh linens, please remove your pets....true story
