Or where i can even find a wrench?? I usually use my fathers, but i want to get my own set so i can have it available. Anyone ever get a timing light from an auto parts store? Im going digital... I just dont want to spend $250 on a light, i see an average of $100 which is ok. the wrench i cant find anywhere except for the junky one you use with a ratchet. im looking for the "T" handle kind..

I have one of the Z lookin distributor wrenches. Its from the local advanced auto parts or one of them. I have used a stubby wrench before also. Which engine do you have?

Sorry can't help much with the timing light. I run timing tape on my balancer and seem to get away with a cheap harbor freight $10 non-dial timing light. Never have checked it against a 'real' light, that would be interesting to see!

I just used a regular wrench for the dist and have a Sears Dial back light.  I have seen those digital ones though, giving you rpms and stuff.LOL  I have a whole set-up from a while back it is one of those engine analyzers.  Gives you rpm volt dwell amps.

Tom, i think i have the same little analyzer  :smilielol: Its got Dwell, Volts, and RPM...... you can switch it from 4,6 or 8 cylinder

Al, that would be great  :worshippy , ive got money in the bank..... The one id like to find bends around the contour of the distributor. And i have a small block, thats why id like to have one. The light i use has the dial, but the stud is bent so id like to go digital to be right on.......  :chatting:

pretty sure KD tool makes the dist wrench you need, we used to sell them at the parts store. I had sears timing lights for years and had few if any problems with them...

This what you need?  Mine should look like this. And it should be in my tool box. There's pages of these on the bay
