Got A New Toy
« on: May 03, 2008 - 09:06:17 PM »
I just picked up a Chrysler Crossfire Roadster.  I really liked the look of the Saturn Sky better, but when we test drove it it was very uncomfortable for Joe.  There was hardly any room for anyone over 5'8''  :banghead:  So, we test drove a Crossfire, and we both really liked it.  It has more get up and go than the Sky's turbo version and it takes corners even better.  I am really happy we looked at it.  I will get some pics soon.

Sounds like a great car, but I have to agree with Alan:

I know Alan.   :picture: are always a must here!  The only bad thing is that it has been raining since I pcked up the car on Thursday  :bricks1:  I promise I'll get some pics when the rain stops. (Probably Monday)

Those are pretty cool cars!   Must be a blast to drive!  :grinyes:

Does it have an automatic wing or something at certain speeds?  :clueless:

Do they still make those?  :dunno:

I actually was looking at those as well, they are becoming very reasonably priced, and even more so here in Canada from what i've seen.  Nice little cars, love to have an SRT-6.   :2thumbs:

Congrats April.  I almost bought a used one last week.  My local dealer has a new 2007 for a great price, I might buy soon.

It is black with 2 tone grey leather interior.  I have spent more time washing and detailing it than I have driving the car  :smilielol:

I didn't get the SRT-6 model, just the regular 6, as I couldn't find a convertible version within 1000 miles of here and I have been looking for quite some time.  I am pleased with the regular 6 though.  It takes off really nice and has enough power for me. I am sure if I had driven the SRT I would feel a little different about it, lol.  At least I have the Cuda for times when the CF isn't fast enough for me. The Crossfire is a 2006 with 6000 miles on it.

Here is the link of the car from cars.com, where I found it originally.  It looks way better in person and I didn't pay the price listed.
