Sniff, sniff my childhood car going away
« on: May 04, 2008 - 11:57:40 PM »
After 25 years, my parents are selling the grey/black Volvo 245 Turbo stickshift wagon that we've had since new.... story attached:

http://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/car/668081065.html

If I had my way I'd stuff a Buick turbo 3.8 V-6/auto in, lower the car or keep it all Volvo and hot rod up the orig 2.1L turbo four.

Can't help but feel like a piece of me is drifting away....

On to the Challenger!  :working:

Definitley an Aussie would say that, in Aussie Volvos, or more importantly volvo drivers have a very bad reputation,   :stomp:   even volvo tried to neutralise their reputation before releasing the latest cars, still the same drivers though, watch out.
I know you can become attached to a car your parents had when you were young, I have a soft spot for a Vanguard.  Built like a tank, and had the handling and performance of one.   :22yikes:

When my mom got rid of her '72 /6 Valiant Scamp, now that was a sad day.  You should be jumping for joy.
