Why is it...
« on: May 05, 2008 - 04:47:43 PM »
Why is it that the only people that pick my car apart are red neck morons that drive a beat down $500 piece of junk? Case in point is when I had the Cuda out this past Saturday this idiot walked up to it while I was pumping gas in it and instead of complimenting the car walks around it and points out two small imperfections in the paint. He commented that "the body shop must had not done the job right" at which point I was quick to tell him that the paint job was over 10 years old and was allowed not to be perfect and as a matter of fact I could show him at least another 1/2 dozen thing that were not perfect. Keep in mind that my car is not a show car but its no 20 footer either. This has happened a couple of other times in the year I've had it and the people all seem to match the same description!

There are TONS of knuckleheads like that running around that feel like they need to let you know whats wrong with their car...like as the owner you don't know or something.

We get tons of 'lovely' comments on my Dad's Challenger. As well as my own, I'd ask where his car is!

Dont forget the people that 'grind' you to 'name a price' on your car since you dont want to sell it. Then look at you like you are crazy after giving them a figure for a car you dont want to sell....but it'd take "X" amount to.

I've had someone pull in while my car was parked at work.

Him-"What kinda car is that  :icon16:"
Me-"...... :sly: Cuda..."
Him-"Is it for sale?  :clueless:"
Me-"(thinking: well..you had to ask what it was, you have no idea.) No. Its not."  :screwy:

I know exactly what you mean, and it sometimes bothes me when stuff like that happens, but YOU know and WE know and somewhere deep down inside Joe Dirt also knows that your car kicks AZZ.  If this weren't true he would not bother commenting at all and would just ignore your car like everyone probably ignores his. :2cents:

Yeah, I had a guy drive up to me in a box van and asked me what it was. I told him what it was and he got out of his truck and was all over it and then the famous question of how much would it take to buy it. I told him $50k (which is ridiculous). He then told me he had the cash at home and would be back the next day with his girlfriend to pick it up. That was 6 months ago. :screwy:
