I can now say I . . .
« on: May 05, 2008 - 05:26:58 PM »
am a pistol gripper :burnout: :burnout: :burnout:

I finally took the plunge and bought a TKO 600 (.82) and with the help of my dad hooked it up to the fuel injected 324 (318 block).

I been driving it for a couple months and it is the best improvement I did to the car so far. It runs way better now. However, I got it from Keisler and would not really recommend them. They took forever to send me the parts, along with other problems. I also love the fact that they sold me a kit without letting me know the bellhousings are not in stock. :villagers: I called them up and had to spend extra money for a different bellhousing. Anyway, it was worth it. I would like to thank the board members who helped me through PM in making the right decision in what kit to buy. :2thumbs:

Anthony

I'm glad for you, WTG :clapping:   But you need a bigger airfilter, it's choking your performance :2thumbs:

Man i'd LOVE to have a 5speed manual. That overdrive would be sooo much better on the highway that 1:1 w/3.91s!!

Definately run a bigger air filter, i ran a Moroso air cleaner that was much larger, a little shorter and it was restrictive to my 318!

Yes, I know the air filter is small. We have a bigger air filter, but it did not fit under my flat hood and it got in the way of the throttle. Unless you want to get me a rallye hood then I can rock the bigger filter. ;) That hood will be my next purchase.

There isn't much room with a flat hood i do agree. I'm not sure how tall that intake you have is.

This clears my flat hood, have the most gain with this one. Not 'cool' but functional.

Used to run the mopar one, r-e-s-t-r-i-c-t-i-v-e!

I've also ran Moroso's black air cleaner with 'in the middle' results. Whenever i get my rallye hood onto my car i'll keep the same filter setup, and just run a +1" or so 4-hole carb spacer

Keisler is not changing it seems , I have had & heard similar complains for years , a local customer just had to change is direction due to belhousing issues with Keisler ,
there are other better companies to dal with such as Classic , personally I will never deal with Keisler again

GoodysGotaCuda top pic is the way to go, cold air, more power. The lower pic looks better but the cooler air package is better.
