Hey, I found out why Steve hasn't had any photos of his truck lately - someone took it to the Mile High Nationals!!  See page 5, row 5!   :smilielol:

Seriously, great photos - thanks for posting them, Barry.  :2thumbs:

The photos are from Mopars at Thunder Mountain, the 2008 Mile High Nationals have not happened yet.  :faint:

Thanks for the pictures Barry. I called my sister in Colorado last night and they had just got home from the event and said the turn out was great. I sure hope I can get out there and go some year soon.

Bandimere is a very unique track. If you look closely at the photos, you will notice that is is actually carved into the side of that hog back. Out here it isn't really big enough to be a mountain, even though they call it one.

The turn out this year was better than it has been the last few years. My sales at the swap meet were average. The ignition box in my car was acting up so I only went a couple rounds before getting the boot in the races. My car is too ugly to put in the show field, but as predicted, I was the only F body there.

The biggest problem with this show is that it keeps moving earlier into the calender. This means it is the first big event for the Bandimere staff each year, which means it is run almost like amateurs. Very disappointing for the major venue Bandimere is. It was a much better event with much higher car counts when it was the weekend before the Mile High Nationals in July.

13.7 @103.4 mphhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VQKuvhEh1yI,i reached my goal that i set 15 years ago , i drove it to the track , street tires, my wife in the car for one of the runs, car weighed 3850 lbs, i love bandimere ,this event gets smaller every year, and for me that means not waiting in line to run,but for venders and the like it sucks, :hyper: they put it on sunday not leaving enough time for out of towners to get home,to bad , not alot of cars as on the years before, oh well who knows :swear: :swear:

Yup, just down the road in Colorado Springs. I think there are about a dozen of us on this board that are in Colorado.Yes, sometime we'll have to see if we can meet up.

"Work in progress," that aptly defines all my cars. I'm going to try selling off a few so I can concentrate on the few I keep.
