    It's taking a long time. Since my Cuda is out getting block sanded, I started tearing apart the Convertibe.  More pics to follow.  I'll be cutting out the complete floor soon.

    Found on EBAY.  Total Rust Bucket but all of the parts were there.  It is a 71 convertible, 318 ci, 904 auto, with A/C, power top, power windows, power disc brakes, power steering, gold ext, tan int, black top, coded for an AM/FM and those goofy 14" wire hubcaps.













    I had my sign guy print some decals. A friend had an original set, still rolled up, that I had copied.

    Rob do you have a time frame for getting the Pace car done or are you just going to try and get it done in the next few years? I looked for parts for my Cuda the first year I had it and hardly touched it. It still took me 5 years and 100's of man hours to get it done. I stopped keeping track of the hours I had in the Cuda once I got above 1300. Good luck and take lots of pictures so you keep us up to date on your progress.

    Cool will you use the newer 5.2 magnum to make the efi better?  :thinkerg:
    I did an 85 crew cab ram a few years back with the 5.9 and efi ,boy what a nice driver with the 518 trans.

    For now I'll be using the factory 318, that came in it. I will just change the intake to inject it. It only came with a 2bbl, that has to go.

    Sounds like a great plan Rob.  I hope to do that one day with a slant six/4-speed OD version.  I will be watching this closely.  Please keep the pictures coming.   :2thumbs:

    Are you going to keep the wire wheel hubcaps or go with Rallies?  Those hubcaps look nice on a pace car.  Flat hood gonna stay?  I would assume so...  :dunno:
