Official 2008 registered head count
« on: May 06, 2008 - 06:54:08 PM »
I just finished registering for the show and found out that we only have 8 cars registered for the show so far. I count for 2 of them. I registered the Cuda and my old Dodge truck. So if we need anything brought into the show and back please let me know and we can load the back of the truck. I will be staying with the group at the hotel.
So I guess the question is who is slacking on registering their cars? I thought since we had 18 last year that it was a simple deal to get the 25 needed for the tent. The best part of registering your car is to show support for your club. There also is a few perks that come along with it. You get to park inside instead of outside and walking. Each car or truck is entitled to have 2 free people in it coming through the gate. Plus you get to save money if you go for all 3 days.

$40 to register for the whole event or $10 per person at the gate. At the very least go twice and you break even.

OK here is the topic revised to a poll so we can track the totals for this year. I think there is 8 people with rooms booked so lets see how many are registered. i was told as of May 5th we only had 8 including my 2.

At this rate we might just be the smallest club there this year.

Are the gas prices that bad to keep everyone away from the show this year?

It seems like there is a lot less talk and excitement about the show this year.

Myself, I NEVER know where I am going to be week by week. I was invited to go, and would like to go since I have never been to anything like this before, but Dont have a clue what's on my schedule. My only interest in going is to meet members. I dont really need to buy any parts, I don't get off all that much on ooooo   ahhhhh looky there. I would enjoy seeing members cars more then every show car. And watch some racing. I wanna see stroker run.

Hey Gang,

I just checked and C-C.com is currently at 9 cars but I wouldn't get too worried yet.  Most of the clubs don't have half of their cars registered yet and this is normal.  Also, believe it or not, registration for the show is currently UP over the last 2 years.  Our software gives us a date-to-date comparison of the current year and the previous 2 years based on the current date.  So, when I looked it up a few minutes ago the software compared May 23 2006, May 23 2007 and May 23 2008 and here are the numbers:
2006 - 575
2007 - 613
2008 - 707

Of course these numbers will fluctuate and vary from day to day but 2008 has been above 2006 & 2007 for at least 2 weeks now.  This isn't a perfect science and it could slip a little but at least this shows that we are on track and based on our first 2 specialty shows of the year, which both had heavy rain, our shows are pulling the same numbers as last year!!

I will always do my personal best to give you the best Mopar show for your money!  Remember, I'm a Mopar guy too so everything you folks are experiencing I'm going through it with you.  In the next couple of days I'm going to have to fill my 4x4 Ram Quad Cab with $4 per gallon gas  :22yikes:

Also,

Remember some of the members joining us, won't be bringing their cars, so they won't register.
