Carter AVS?
« on: May 08, 2008 - 02:34:47 PM »
Not sure if this is the right place for this but here I go. I have a Carter AVS carb that has the number 4640. I know its for a 69 440 AT/AC. My question is what CFM it is? I was told the 440s had 800 CFMs but I don't know for sure. If anyone has a Carter book that could look it up would be helpful.

Thanks in advance!

The specs I have seen show a 750 CFM rating.  I think the 800 CFM were later style carbs, but I am no expert.

I thought and think the 440-4bbls were all 750cfm and the 440 six pack are 900cfm from factory. :2cents:
