Hi everyone,
There is a 71 cuda for sale in my town but the VIN is 2F23G18108146.
Vin decoders on the net say Make is unknown.
Could this be a car that was totalled and got a new VIN??
What does the 2F mean?????

Have you actually seen the VIN tag? I have never heard of such a thing and sounds phony to me.

No I haven't seen it yet.
I called the store where they are selling it and asked for the vin.
I don't want to buy a car that hasn't a clean title.
Could it be an import?
I'm going to see it this saturday so I don't know why he'd lie about the VIN.

I have a feeling that someone can't read. When you go and look take a picture of it.

Even if imported the VIN would not change since it goes by where the car was mfg, not where it ended up. I'm thinking typo as well, but it could be a reassigned VIN for a salvage/stolen/rebuilt car.

Hey, 351c - if you buy the car, you're gonna have to change your ID to reflect what's in the engine bay of your new MOPAR!!   :poopoke:   :poopoke:  :cooldancing:  :burnout:

Yeah ! You're right.
I just sold my Ford Torino GT 71 this week and caught Cuda fever! :-)
I want to see the cuda yesterday and it'S a BP code (grand coupe) the DMV made a mistake on the registration papers.
The cuda has a 340 (originally a 318), auto, new sassy grass green paint and good condition. (no shaker hood).
Is 50K a descent market price????
And how much hp can I expect from a modified 340????? This is my main concern. Not enough power!

Walk away from a 50k 318 nom car, and dont look back.  Lots better deals around. Dont be in a hurry and ask the board any questions you need to, but dont play UTHUSTLER here   Do you know him :smilielol: Just kidding. For half that 50k you could have a good screaming e body.

:iagree:  $50k, even canadien $ is too much for that car.....but if you have pics, post them!  Would be cool to see what's lurking up there is Canada.

When I was younger, say about 20 or so years ago, I used to drive up to Brossard to see relatives and about 10 minutes after going through the border I used to see on the right side of the road a white '70 Plymouth Superbird, then occasionally see a Grabber blue '70 Boss 302 Mustang 2 houses down from the Superbird.  You ever see these cars before?  :clueless:

IMO the price is way too high.

Look on CUDAWORLD, and you will find several nice 1971 318 cars with 440's for around $30k-$35k. One is a GP, another has a 6-pack setup, one is a real BB car, etc.

Here is the link to the car.

I checked out cudaworld and the good looking cars are 60 - 150K !!!
Is it because it's a BP that it'S not worth much? Because a paint job for a muscle car around here costs about 10K . This cuda has a 2006 paint with THE color I'm looking for ie sassy grass green. So if I buy a 35K car that needs a new paint I'm already at 45K . Don't you think? I don't want to waste my $ either, 50K isn't easy to come buy!

I saw a couple of nice looking ones there in the 30K range. If you are seeing NOM 318 cars for $60-$150k, you are either looking at the wrong cars, or the owners are dreaming. Big block cars and convertibles are going for that, but not NOM 318 cars.
