    cheers guys.

    the paint is resene durepox black 2k primer. a hardcore marine and automotive primer thats weather proof and tough. marks quite easy though. it has a satin finish, looks very black.
    it is easy to spray, cheap, tough, and high build, so exactly what i was after. this paint job and my amateur body work is just to get rid of the purple, make the car more my style,
    and as a learning experience. and i had a very tight budget...

    but i'm pretty happy with the results. the car looks quite unique!

    here's a pic of what i would love to build in the future: (purists beware, i have pushed the envelope a bit in terms of modifications)

    Car looks great......I've gota 73 myself and was thinking of blacking out the grill but was hesitant because I didn't know what it would look like....after seeing your pics, you've confirmed it for me.....ALL black is the way to go!!!  :2thumbs:

    Aaron, great rendering.  Looks way cool!  Have you tried doing a black anodized look on the chrome window trim?

    yep, tried black window trim.
    i preferred the look of the previous pic. i think a brushed, satin look that complements the brushed alloy rims suits best.

    the blacked out trim would probably look better in real life than in the pic. it's one of those things that's tricky to photoshop.
