Why can`t anyone predict the weather!
« on: May 10, 2008 - 06:16:12 AM »
Had planned on going to a swap meet today to sell stuff but my buddy called and cancelled as the forecast was for 90% chance of rain last night.This morning I get up and only partly cloudy skies and the weather forecast says clearing later with no rain.With all the thousands of dollars worth of computers and technology the weathermen get paid good money but still can`t predict worth a damn!   :villagers:
Oh well,maybe I can get some work done on the cars if the wife will leave me alone for the day!   :eek4:

Your forgetting about the 10% chance that it will not rain.

We get 13 feet of rain here on average. If we altered our plans due to rain, nothing would ever get done.   :roflsmiley:

Grab a hat & coat and just go, you will not melt.  :wave:

Florida's weather;

'It might rain, if it doesn't the sun will be out. Maybe some clouds, pretty humid.'

That about sums it up, as vague as they can be

Looking at it that baseball players get paid millions to not hit the ball - afterall a .300 batting average is considered good, .350 is considered great and a .400 hitter would be considered phenomenal and would probably end up in the Hall of Fame.

100 or so years of fairly accurate weather recording and some scientists think they know everything about a planet that`s been around for millions of years!

I read somewhere that back before all of the billions of dollars worth of satellites, computers, and whatever, the accuracy was 72%. Now that we've spent all those billions, the accuracy has risen to 75%.

Imagine what the next 25% will cost!

Just seems like a big joke to me.
