depends what hes trying to build i guess.. the victors will outflow the ez's but need special gear for sure.. including headers.... but ea I would lean towards the indys...

HUGHES - Rocker Kit, 1.6 Ratio Victor Heads
Includes Rocker Arms, Spacers And Banana Grooved Shafts These 1.6 ratio rocker arms are designed exclusively to give you correct geometry with the Edelbrock BB Victor cylinder heads. The exhaust are standard offset and the intakes have a .600" offset. Any less offset and the pushrod is too close to the wall. Any more offset and the pushrod angle beomes an issue. This kit includes all 16 rockers, all of the billet machined spacers, the fine adjustment shims and our banana grooved shafts.

Hi Stroker,

I have seen the Hughes rockers but was not sure of their quality.  They do look cheap looking in the pictures on their web page.    have you personally seen these rockers up close buddy.

Bang for buck i think i could make the Victors really honk for a very strong semi street car. :2thumbs:

The Stainless will not work on Victors, only on the RPM heads  Personally I would pass on the Victor heads , if not have fun !!!

OK CP,

How about this set up................. 383 stroked out to 496 with Stage 6 heads and STR 14 crossram.  What solid cam and carbs would you recommend for a real tuff streeter, i mean real tuff.   These are things i have and would like to use.  I have a 600 double pumper and could get a match for it and then get them flowed and modified. :2thumbs:

It will be Auto with convertor to suit  :2thumbs:

I already have a pair of Stage 6.......... I bought them as unfinished without any Valve seats or guides installed so i can shift the valve location around and down size the stem size to Chev size or would Hemi stem be a better option.  As i will have to buy the apropriate guides to suit valves when time comes.

I seen the flow numbers for an STR aswell but it was for the duel inline STR, i have the proper crossram STR and the carbs are mounted directly above the ports on mine.   Have not seen any flow related topics with the STR 14 like i have, would be very interested to know how they rate. :2thumbs:
