If you do that in a residential area of the county where I live you will be fined $200.  People said it would never happen here and it did along with a lot of other crazy rules.

I have never priced electrics before. I know jc whitney offered mechanicals decades ago at a reasonable price

It just doesn't seem right during day light hours to me...I think the law here is something like 65 DB betweem 7am and 10pm and if by chance you are at 75 DB that can only be for a total of 2 hours in one day...when is anyone suppose to get things done on their car??

The gentleman across the street fired up his Dart today...he is so living on the wrong side of the street...no offense but old crabby people live across the street at least on this side there is 3 or 4 houses of more understanding car guys

Looked into cable operated ones?
I have heard of a few people getting problems with them leaking, but leaks are pretty rare - and its a cheap alternative to electrical cutouts.

I have a set of them, only thing is when they are capped exhaust flow gets killed pretty well! But they do sound nice when opened up

You know what is really out of kilter and lost during all of this? How many of us at any given point in the day can rear a Harley roar 20 blocks away on what has to be almost if not open headers. Yet we musclecar enthusiasts are the ones who get the big stick when it comes to loud exhaust    Whats up with that?

   I was thinking that too, nothing against Harleys or anything  but I know my neighbor after the state inspection happens, slips on the straight through pipes and I never see Harleys pulled over for straight pipes but a muscle car would....
