Well I happen to have some time today at lunch time so I made a trip down to the car and took a a couple of rear shots pf the car with my cell phone, I will take better pictures this weekend when I go with a camera.......

Nick, the car looks pretty good to me.  I think you scored a pretty good deal, even if it's got a small block where a big block is supposed to be.  And with that Hemi...   I'm looking forward to seeing some more pics of the interior and maybe some in the sun.

That seems a little low to me. This is a big block 70 RT, that is in driveable condition. Just putting a date-coded 440 in it should make it worth a lot more, dont you think?

Looks to be in really good shape. An original 440 R/T with air is a rare bird. Put that hemi in it and have some fun! I would say even in a buyers market it is worth a good amount more than 15k. 440 R/T's dont grow on trees.

My 70 R/T came with the SE trim package which includes the Argent tailpanel trim, wide rocker moldings, door top, wheel well and front valance moldings, but no opera rear window of molder headliner.

Well I went back with my wife to see the car once again, camera in hand and the owner was not at home. I decided to take more pictures of the car, I am not a Photo type of guy so they did not come out to well.
There is alot og Gold and Chrome on this car, scary at first glance. The car is as solid as you would want it to be, I am still shocked at not sign of any damage anywhere on this car.
I noticed it has a rear sway bar, I am unsure if it has a front bar, I just noticed it in the piture. Does it look OEM or after market?
Grill looks nice, it isn't broken.
Check the under the front bumper picture, what airdam are those from?
Well what do think about it now?

Looks solid, congrats again. Looks to me like it was customized some time in the late 70's or very early 80's. Nothing there that cannot be rectified.

Nick,
The rear sway bar is an aftermarket piece.

The chin spoilers originally came on T/As, but they were available with the T style rear spolier as an option on other Challengers. They may be aftermarket too?

what he told me was when he bought the car he did not like the green everything so he bought a wrecked challenger for the interior swap and other pieces. I guess I better check the seats for a build sheet because the seats in this car came from the other one. He said he stripped the car so now I am wondering if the spoilers are real T/A items, maybe the stripper was a T/A

Well, the real ones have a pentastar & a part number on the back sides.

Hey Nick,

Find out if their are any other Challenger bits that he can add in to the deal, may be more stuff lying around his place.  You could resell the parts if needed.
