Brake Fluid Question
« on: May 13, 2008 - 08:04:03 AM »
I am puting new calipers, wheel cylinders, rubber hoses and a new master cylinder on my Cuda.

The car sat for 14 years and the fluid in the old MC looks pretty bad. All the hard lines look fine and there are no leaks.

Should I flush out the brake lines at all?

Or should I just put new fluid in the MC and blead the brakes until everything looks good.

Thanks,

Jas

:iagree: except, take the 14 yr old fluid out of the cylinder first. No sense in pushing that sludge and sediment that may of settled on the bottom through the lines

Thanks guys.

I will puch new fluid through once I put on the new MC... that way none of the sludge etc. will get pushed through the lines!
