Guage question

When my 70 is idleing, the alternator guage is fluctuating rapidly on the charge side. Should it stay in basically the same place, or jump around? It is on the charge side, but i would think it would be more consistent.

the voltage regulator will cause that so changing the regulator may fix it , mopar is famous for not charging at idle as well so it just may not be turning fast enoungh to charge steadily

Also make sure you have a good battery to body ground wire.
